Paint System

Sash Window Services use a high tech paint system which comes from Sweden. Its application, durability and low maintenance values make it ideal for use on a wide range of timber products.

Below is the technical information for each of the 3 main procedures that are carried out during the painting and finishing of our sash windows.

1.Wood Preserve

Product Overview: Sash Window Services use a very heavy duty air drying, water based industrial preservative, it uses a dip and flow coat treatment for exterior joinery.

Typical Uses: As a preservative for joinery products, log cabins and other untreated wood against discolouration, blue satin fungi ad many wood destructive organisms.

2.Water Borne Isolating Primer

Product Overview: single component water borne acrylic primer.

  • Resists knot staining
  • Excellent flexibility
  • May be over coated with a variety of top coats
  • Easily applied by brush, roller or spray
  • Typical Uses: A fast dying, white pigmented stain isolating primer for use on interior and exterior joinery.

3.Water Borne Joinery Top-Coat

Product Overview: A water borne acrylic protective top-coat

  • External application on softwood or hardwood
  • Flexible micro porous protective film
  • Resistant to bacterial, mould, and UV attack
  • Rapid dry, resists blocking on storage and stacking
  • Typical Uses: As a high build, exterior top coat on wooden windows, doors, conservatories and leisure buildings.
